Going for the Goals - Making Them Happen!

OK. We know that those goals are not going to just happen all by themselves. We established a few goals last week, and now we are going to create a PLAN to make those goals a reality. And this one is really quite simple.
Block off a small section of time - about 15 minutes - the day before your work week starts. My time is usually Sunday afternoon or evening. Sit down with your list of goals and ask yourself the following question about each one: What one step can I take this week that will move me one step closer toward this goal? It doesn't have to be a huge step - just one action that keeps you moving forward.
Let's suppose that one of your goals was to improve your relationship with an estranged family member. What one action could you take this week that would support your efforts? Perhaps you could send a heartfelt note or card? Maybe you could simply make a phone call or openly listen to their concerns without interrupting.
Maybe one of your goals was to lose 15 pounds by May 1st. What action could you take this upcoming week? Perhaps you could walk for 30 minutes 3 times. Maybe you could read one chapter in that great diet book that motivated you before, or call your good friend and arrange to go to the gym together, or take those remaining chocolate covered cherries and THROW THEM IN THE GARBAGE!
Next step. Pick up your planner or schedule for the upcoming week and write those activities in just as if they were appointments you had to keep. Keep that planner or calendar somewhere that you can see it every single morning as you prepare for the day. While there is no guarantee that you will get to everyone.
